![]() ![]() Jericho was not doing it because they could not figure it out and also were busy with other projects at this point. I then had to work with a heating and cooling company to figure out how to run the air duct upstairs. They also had complete disregard for our safety just so they did not have to figure out another way to reroute the air duct. They clearly did not know what they were doing. They did replace it, but the 2nd beam they put in was not structurally safe either, so they had to put a 3rd beam in. An architect confirmed it was not safe and the city would not approve a permit until they tore it out and replaced. I asked for an engineer to come inspect it to determine if it is safe. Our project manager said no, because we know what we are doing. I asked if a permit was obtained, as the project was nearly finished. Instead of finding a new route for the air duct going upstairs, they CUT OUT PART OF THE NEW BEAM and sent the air duct through the beam. We had a wall knocked out for our kitchen remodel and had a beam installed, to hold up our 2nd level. Please read this next part, it will make you think twice about hiring them. They claimed their work is superior, they would pull all required permits, installers were masters of all trades, and they would manage the project.
